Attention please, animal lovers! Here are some dogs and cats from Multnomah County Animal Services who are in need of a loving home.
Roscoe
Breed: American Shelter Dog/ Unspecified
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Hello, my name is Roscoe! I am a young dog that is looking for a new family. I arrived at the shelter because my family is unable to care for me any longer. They report that I was bottle fed as a 3 week old puppy, like to sleep under the covers, am insecure about strangers and new environments, and have limited exposure to other dogs. I would do best in a home with no small children, due to my exuberant activity level. Obedience classes are also HIGHLY recommended for me. I want to build the best bond I can with my new family and show off some new skills. Do you have room in your heart for a special guy like me? I am around a year and a half old and weigh 62 pounds.

River
Breed:Domestic Shorthair/ Mix
Gender: Female
Age: Baby
River is 4-month-old black kitten who was born outside to a stray mother, and brought to the shelter with her sister, Styx -- get it? River Styx? She is a beautiful kitten, and with ongoing love, time, and training will grow into a lovely and affectionate adult. Because River didn't get a lot of hands-on attention as a wee-kitten, her new family will need to be patient as she settles into her new home. River will need to be placed either with Styx, or in a home with another cat, as shy girls like River do not do well as single cats. Young children in the home most likely will be too overwhelming for her. Our lovely girl will take a little more work than the average kitten, but there is a sweetheart right under the surface just dying to come out. The shelter even has a handout to send home with you on how to help River get off to the right start with you! She is fixed, microchipped, and ready to go home with you today!

Imogene
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair/ Mix
Gender: Female
Hi, I'm Imogene. Sweet and petite, that's me! In fact, my foster mom says I'm the sweetest thing since honey! See, I had a rough start in life so my foster home is helping me learn that the world is not so scary. If you've ever known a true "rescue" animal, you know that while it takes patience and time to earn my trust- the love you will get in return is worth every bit of effort. Nobody loves like a rescue!! Once I've warmed up to my new digs, I will need some belly rubs and petting. My beautiful fur is medium length, and just as soft as silk, so I'm sure you won't mind. I give little head butts and will show you just where I want to be scratched. I love being petted so much it even makes me drool a tiny bit, but don't tell- it's kind of embarrassing! I also enjoy cuddling with stuffed animals, and I have lived with other cats in the past and would love having another friendly feline around. I use the litter box with no problem, and I'm a pretty quiet, low maintenance girl. I am about six years young, already spayed and microchipped. My ideal family would consist of one or two quiet, patient people and maybe another kitty. I love small spaces, and like to have a cozy getaway spot so I feel safe. I am still working on being comfortable in open areas, so even if your house or apartment is small, that won't bother me a bit!! If you think we'd be match, or have any questions about me, you can contact my foster mom at [email protected].
