This is Big Mack. He is in need of a loving home!
Calling all pet lovers! Have you been longing for a cuddly friend? Do you constantly look up grumpy cat videos, wishing you had a cat of your own?
Look no further! Multnomah County Animal services has many great dogs and cats who are in need of loving homes. And for one more day, MultCo Pets is hosting their emergency cat/kitten adoption special.
Currently, the shelter is at 94 percent capacity with more cats expected as kitten season (between late spring and early autumn) gets underway. Cats ages six months or older will cost just $12. As a bonus, Multnomah County Animal Services will offer free cat food to anyone who adopts a cat that's been waiting for a home for 30 days or more.

Rudy
Breed: German Shepherd Dog/ Mix
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Hey everybody! My name is Rudy and I am a high energy boy that's looking for an active home. Unfortunately I ended up here at the shelter after my owner could no longer care for me. As most Shepherds do, I have a protective nature and will need a home with children over the age of 10 years. Breed experience is recommended. My favorite thing in the world is my ball! I love to play fetch over and over and over again. I know how to catch, shake, bring it, and drop it. Not to say that I don't love my peeps too, but the ball is where it's at. The shelter is HIGHLY recommending that we attend reward based classes together to polish me off. I have spent most of my life mainly living outdoors and would love the chance to really become part of the family and live indoors. I have never really been exposed to kids, cats, or other dogs so those skills are unknown at this point. I hope that doesn't deter you though. I am super dedicated to your happiness as I hope you will be with mine. Please come down and meet me today! I am about 5 years old and weigh 56 pounds.

Luna
Breed: Domestic Shorthair/ Mix
Gender: Female
Age: Adult
Luna is a very sweet and lovely tabby girl who is just over 3-years-old. She is shy in new places, but once she gets her bearings she is affectionate and playful. She would do best as an only cat, but may do alright with a submissive male cat. She doesn't get along with females. Luna is spayed and ready to go home with her new family today, so if you're a calm family looking for a companion, come meet Luna.

Mike
Breed: Dogue de Bordeaux/ Mix
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Hi there! My name is Mike and I'm ready to find a new home. Unfortunately my previous owner was unable to care for me any longer and I have found myself here at the shelter waiting for a new family. The kennels are a little stressful for me and sometimes I get overwhelmed, but I am great outside of this environment. I am a very personable guy that loves to give kisses. My previous owner said that I am housetrained and have always been an indoor dog. I have lived with other dogs, love to play fetch, and I am an active boy! I also know how to sit, down stay, and come (in English and Spanish)! How many dogs can say they're bilingual? I can't wait to meet my new family. Please come and visit me today! I am 4 years old and weigh 74 pounds.

Sherlock
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair/ Mix
Gender: Male
Age: Young
Sherlock is a 9-month-old tabby searching for a new family. He is a sweet, active, and playful boy who is already neutered. Our Sherlock likes people of all ages, but would do best in a home with another mellow, tolerant cat, or possibly just an active, loving home with no other pets. He's a great kid who will thrive with a mellow family that wants a young and fun companion. Come and meet Sherlock today.

Sleeping Beauty
Breed: Siberian Husky/ (Purebred)
Gender: Female
Age: Adult
Hi there, they are calling me Sleeping Beauty. We all need kisses, but I also need a bath a brush out to reveal how gorgeous I am. I'm a sweet older girl about 7-8 years old. I weigh about 82lbs and am looking for someone who has my best interests at heart and will help me regain my girlish figure. I'm a little slow to rise, but aren't we all when we get older? Because of that the shelter is recommending my new home not have a lot of stairs and that kids are 12 & up. I was awfully interested in the cats I've seen and although I probably couldn't catch one, the shelter says let's not find out. I know sit and down and love tummy rubs.

Big Mack
Breed: Labrador Retriever/ Unspecified
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
So the shelter is calling me Big Mack. That's after the truck, not the sandwich. I'm kind of built like a truck and I'm a powerful guy with a V-8 engine. I'm about 7 years old and weigh 72lbs. The shelter says using the right euipement for walks and an obedience class will do wonders for me in my new home. If you are looking for someone to hit the road with, drop by and visit me. Oh and I have a great smile as you can see from my picture.

Sam Cro
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair/ Mix
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
My name is SamCro and I'm a handsome, 6-year-old tabby looking for a new home to spoil me. I'm so sweet and mellow, and don't mind other cats at all! The shelter loves me, and they are quite positive you will too. I tested FIV+ so I need to remain safely indoors, live a low-stress lifestyle, eat right, and get regular vet checks. Many cats who are FIV+ live well into their teens! Talk to your adoption counselor about introducing me to your family. I'm neutered and can go home today!

Autumn
Breed: Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler)/ Unspecified
Gender: Female
Age: Elderly
My finder named me Autumn. Probaly for all the pretty colors in my coat. I'm a 10 year old Border Collie mix and I weigh 53lbs. The person who had me for a month says I'm good with people but I wasn't around kids so that is unknown. I do know I want to be the only dog in the household so I can get all the attention. Dog parks are not for me, I'd rather play with people. I'm crate trained, ride well in cars and know sit, down and stay. Drop by and ask to see me.

It's Playtime! That's me! The shelter staff named me, but I have to say, it's right on. I'm a little anxious here at the shelter, but really love attention. Come see me today, and I promise to keep you entertained. And if you want to adopt me, the adoption counselor can talk to you about introducing me to your family.
