Well hello world, the shelter named me Hamish for my handsome and manly good looks. I am going to be frank with you I am not so sure of strangers. I need time to really figure out if you can be trusted before I let down my guard. Because of this the shelter is asking for families with respectful children at least 10 years old to ask about me. The shelter is also a bit mystified as to my breed mix… So they are using the catch name American Shelter Dog. Old school would be to call me Heinz 57 or a mutt. Isn't ASD more sophisticated?

I'm only 6-years-old, so I'm at that perfect age where I'm cuddly AND playful when the mood strikes. I do have an allergy to fleas, so I will need flea treatment applied monthly so my skin doesn't get all itchy and sore. Small price to pay for such a gem of a cat, don't you think?
