Tuesday, March 17, 2015

Which Portland neighborhoods have become the most popular hubs for yoga?

GoLocalPDX teamed up with FindTheBest to map out which Portland neighborhoods have the most yoga studios per residents.

Slideshow Below: The 10 Most Flexible Portland Neighborhoods

Homestead neighborhood came in with the most establishments to perfect the downward dog, with 10.9 yoga studios per 10,000 people. Close behind was Boise, followed by the Lloyd District and Eliot neighborhood.

However, not all of Portland offers as many neighborhood yoga studios. Lennton, Kenton, and Forest Park were among the areas with no studios at all.

Still, Portland is a leader in the state and nation for accessibility to yoga fitness. The city has 2.7 times as many yoga studios than average in Oregon, and 5.2 times as many than the United States average. So no matter what experiance level or type of yoga you are searching for, there's a good chance you'll find the the perfected studio.
