Urban Crush Winery Set To Open In SE Portland

Friday, June 12, 2015

Urban Crush is set to open to the public in mid- July.

Laureen O’Brien and Ed Fuss of Angel Vine Wine, have created Urban Crush Winery, a small winery and tasting business in Southeast Portland.

"We want to make our wine where we live and become a part of the fabric of our community," explains O'Brien.

The space will bring winemakers and wine lovers together. Winemakers will be producing wine on-site, while Portland’s wine lovers sip on Pinot Noir’s in tasting rooms and wine lounge. Tours will also give tasters the chance to meet and greet the winemakers who work there.

Urban crush will host Angel Vine, D'Anu Wines, Willful Wines, and Cinzia, all offering Pinot Noir and amazing Oregon varieties. Oregon wine varieties include Zinfandel (and its Italian cousin, Primitivo), Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Franc wine, made using modern appassimento methods.

"I wanted to create something in Portland that was more focused on the winemakers,” says Fus. “That's what made it compelling to seek a place in PDX where we could become a foundational player and have a fun place to follow our passion."

Urban Crush is set to open to the public in mid- July. Urban Crush, 2025 SE 7th Avenue, (503) 477-6994, Thursday- Saturday, 12 pm- 7pm, Sunday 12 pm- 5 pm. For more information click HERE
