Two Portland Chefs To Compete in Top Chef Premier

The chefs will compete for a $125,000 prize, a feature in FOOD & WINE magazine, a showcase at the annual FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen Colo., and the title of Top Chef. Throughout the season contestants will cook at famous Boston locales including Fenway Park, Plimoth Plantation and the Bull and Finch Pub, which served as the inspiration for the TV show "Cheers."
Returning to the judges table for the new season in Boston are Head Judge Tom Colicchio, judges Gail Simmons, Hugh Acheson, Top Chef winner Richard Blais, and host Padma Lakshmi.
