Portland’s Premier Sicilian Restaurant Launches Weekend Brunch

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Bellino Trattoria Siciliana, Portland’s Sicilian restaurant located in the heart of Pearl District, is now offering brunch on Saturday and Sunday, as well as new winter hours and a Monday night Supper Club.

The native Sicilian Executive Chef and owner of Bellino, Francesco Inguaggiato, serves classic and authentic Sicilian dishes that reflect his traditional roots. Inguaggiato has now chosen to incorporate his cuisines into brunch style dishes such as Frittata di Petralia, a Sicilian omelet with potatoes, eggplant and goat cheese served with sautéed spinach, almonds and toasted bread, Rombo al Timo, a seared halibut with celery and onions, topped with fresh thyme and served with fingerling potatoes, and Penne Pistacchio e Gamberi, a penne pasta in a light, pistachio sauce with shallots, a pinch of nutmeg and shrimp.

Brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Inguaggiato will also offer “Francesco’s Festa Italiana,” a Monday night Supper Club from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Monday night.  Francesco’s Festa Italiana night is in celebration of Italian cusine. Monday evening at Bellino is dedicated to serving unique dishes from regions all around Italy including Tuscany, Sardinia, Campania, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Umbria and Lazio. Each week the menu will change to reflect a different region. For Monday night Supper Club, reservations are recommended but Inguaggiato will also accommodate walk-ins.

The restaurant will also offer different winter hours. Bellino will serve dinner from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays. Happy Hour will be served from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, happy hour will be served from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Brunch/Lunch happy hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

“We’re thrilled to open for Brunch on the weekends based on such positive feedback from our customers since we opened five months ago,” Inguaggiato said.  “And, while I am Sicilian and the classic food of my childhood is so important to me, the Festa Italiana Supper Club allows us to showcase many of Italy’s beautiful food regions one night per week with select dishes.

For reservations please call (503) 208-2992 or visit www.bellinoportland.com or www.opentable.com or Bellino Trattoria Siciliana on Facebook.
