Yahoo Earnings Fall Short of Expectations as Sale Nears

Yahoo Inc fell short of expectations on Monday, posting earnings of 9 cents per share, short of the 10 predicted by analysts, in what is likely the company's last financial report before it sells its core business.
Verizon Communications Inc and AT&T Ince are reported to be in the running to acquire the core business.
