Portland Startup NoAppFee.com Launches for Renters in the 21st Century

By using this platform, renters can eliminate the hassle of having to submit multiple applications with multiple application fees.

Designed for renters of the 21st century, NoAppFee.com, released its online property registry site and held a launch event on Tuesday, May 26th.

During their launch event, “Renting in the 21st Century,” users were able to try out the platform at computer workstations and experience the program in real time.

NoAppFee.com is the winner of the Portland Development Commission’s 2014 Startup Challenge. It is a national property registry that users can customize to meet their own unique screening criteria. To date, NoAppFee.com has contracts with twelve property management companies.

By using this platform, renters can eliminate the hassle of submitting multiple applications with multiple application fees. Additionally, having all of the properties available online significantly reduces the amount of traveling you’d have to make.

Mayor Charlie Hales, the special guest at the event, had great things to say about the platform.

“No App Fee, Inc. is an organization that recognizes the importance of equal access to housing. I’m inspired by this company and its collaborative efforts to address one of the city’s most important issues: fair housing,” said Mayor Hales.

The service will definitely be a benefit to low-income families in need of a home.

“While the service will benefit the general public, it will also empower and assist some of Portland’s most vulnerable low-income and homeless people to find housing with less effort and at a lower cost,” said company founder and CEO Tyrone Poole.

In order to empower the most people, the company plans to have NoAppFee.com workstations at various housing programs in the Porland Metro. Already, they have locations at the Goose Hollow Family Shelter in NW Portland and The Gateway Center in East Portland.
