Lents Neighborhood Hosts Saturday Pop-Up Coffee Shop

The folks in Lents are excited to get a coffee shop. Really excited, apparently. They are taking advantage of the sunny weather tomorrow and having a pop-up coffee shop.

The coffee shop is being operated by a Hollywood District Favorite, Nectar Café. Nectar will be serving coffee, espresso, smoothies and snacks, including baked goods from Lents based businesses.

The organizers of the event say it is in response to years long community support for a coffee shop and plan to use the success of the event to market the neighborhood to potential coffee shop operators. They cannot cite a previous similar event that was successful, but that does not discourage them.

The timing of the event is intended to coincide with the Lil Lentils Playgroup which will be happening right across the street at the same time. Lil Lentils is expecting a standing room only crowd for Red Yarn, a family performer & teaching artist.

Also, the organizers of the event point out that if you haven’t had the time to visit the Belmont Goats in their new home, this would be a good opportunity. They are located right next door. Here are the details:

The Pop-up Coffee Shop featuring Nectar Café will be held at Crossroads Plaza, SE 92nd and Foster, Saturday, March7, 10am-1pm. If you would like you can RSVP here so they know how many to expect.
