Eugene, Ore. ranks No. 8 on this year's list of the top 10 cities for healthy work-life balance, according to a study by the finance site
NerdWallet.

The study ranked 536 U.S. cities based on the mean hours worked per week by an average employee, the mean daily commute time, as well as the mean earnings for full-time, year-round workers, and the median gross rent in each city.
The results showed that employees in Eugene work an average of 34 hours a week and have median earnings of $42,288. The average commute time is 17 minutes and the median gross rent is $831.
Top employers in Eugene include PeaceHealth Medical Group and the University of Oregon.
