Portland’s Forestland Investment Company Ecotrust Named Best for the World

Friday, April 17, 2015

Nonprofit company B Lab, has officially named the Portland based forestland investment company, Ecotrust, a “B Corp Best for the World.”

This is the third year in a row that Ecotrust Forest Management has received this recognition for its work aiding investors and forestland owners to enhance forest health and products.

Joining Ecotrust on B Lab’s list are 120 other companies whose services range from waste management to health care.  Ecotrust is one of the three companies listed that are based in Oregon.

"Today's honorees inspire all companies to compete not only to be best in the world, but best for the world," said Jay Coen Gilbert, Co-Founder of B Lab. "We hope many will take the first step by using the B Impact Assessment to measure and manage their impact with as much rigor as their profit,"
