The final Kidical Mass ride of 2014 celebrates Halloween with a costumed ride to the annual Thrill the World PDX mass zombie dance performance at Irving Park, Saturday, October 25th.

The ride meets at the new Dawson Park this Saturday, October 25, at 1:45pm and departs at 2pm. Riders will pedal casually through the neighborhood, ending at Irving Park to watch the zombie dancers at 3. Everyone is welcome—both to the ride and the zombie dance - so get your rotting flesh makeup on and join in.

This ride is not a loop, and will likely conclude with adult beverages and snacks at Hopworks Bike Bar on N Williams.

Kids must wear helmets; the ride will travel slowly enough to accommodate kids' pace, but child riders should be able to stay on the right side of the road, follow verbal instructions and must stop at stop signs.

Lights are recommended. Adults are encouraged to bring treats for the kids, and everyone is encouraged to wear costumes.

Thrill The World Dance

This year's Thrill the World zombie dance is just one of hundreds of synchronized Thriller dances happening around the world. This year marks Portland's 8th annual dance, benefitting Portland's Sexual Minority Youth Resource Center (SMYRC).

The dance is open to all—costumed or not—welcoming all ages, and all abilities. A $5 donation is requested to support SMYRC. The dance will be held under a shelter in the event of rain.
