Critics and Kanye West fans react to Adidas collab fashion show “Yeezy: Season 1.”

Yeezy: Season 1, taking place in a industrial Manhattan space, featured 50 diverse models in military camouflage parkas, deliberately ripped oversized sweaters, and plenty of body stockings.

"The Hunger Games called and they want their look back,” said Chris Rovzar and Nic Screws for Bloomberg Business. They later applauded Kanye for at least knowing the top trends in the fashion world at the moment; athleisure, head to toe neutrals (#palewave), and bulletproof inspired vests.

“It was at the very least satisfyingly instigative for a line of sportswear,” said Peter Macia for Vogue. While twitter users saw the clothes as dystopian themed movie and tv show costumes. "Kanye's Fashion Show looks more like tryouts to be an extra on The Walking Dead," said twitter user @sub150run.

The show which Kanye deemed as “the Super Bowl of culture in a way,” according to Complex, had music a-listers Jay-Z, Beyonce and Diddy sitting front row with fashion bible (Vogue) editor Anna Wintour and designer Alexander Wang (aka Mt. Yeezmore).

It also wouldn’t be a official music meets fashion runway show if there wasn’t a new song. Enter “Wolves”, the song featuring indie female vocalists Sia and Chicago rapper Vic Mensa, that we assume will be playing non stop on the radio once released. (Collaboration within a collaboration.)

Kylie Jenner also made her official model debut at the show wearing a black shearling jacket, beige colored sports bra, and a natural makeup look.

Connie Wang for Refinery 29 commended Kanye for the new track and for the diverse model line up of models, “But overall? Meh.”
