“Project Runway Threads” is an eight-episode series that showcases talented American teen fashion designers. Each episode will feature three new teen designers competing to create a victorious garment, for new sewing equipment, $10,000 to be used at Jo-Ann Fabrics, and a scholarship to FIDM’s summer program.
A sneak peek of “Project Runway: Threads” first episode has Portland teen designer Kenzie showing her ‘red carpet’ themed dress, that includes a renaissance style waist line. “It looks incredible and it really shows that you are paying attention to the entire look as a whole,” said YouTube style guru and judge Ingrid Nilsen.
The judges for the "Threads" includes “Project Runway” season 4 winner Christian Siriano, two Seventeen magazine employees, Fashion Director Gina Kelly, and Accessories Editor Jasmine Snow, as well as YouTuber Ingrid Nilsen. Vanessa Simmons, designer of sneaker line Pastry and Rev. Run’s daughter, will host the show. Guests appearances for the premiere episode includes Kelly Osbourne, actress Jaime King and singer Zendaya.
The show airs at 10:30 pm on Lifetime.
