“We’ve seen sheer cutouts in prior seasons but this Spring I suspect we’ll see more full body sheer ensembles,” says Brittany Sierra. “From sheer tops to sheer pants and playsuits, this spring is the season of transparency.”

“Celebrate the beauty of your whole body  -- show, show, show. Don't hold back on wearing sheer or fitted dresses,” says Tito Chowdhury. “Before you know it, it will be out of style --so do it this season.”

Denim x Denim

“My top pick for the ladies, is the boyfriend cut. These are NOT your boyfriend's jeans,” says Jennifer D Harris. “They are made to be sleek, chic, and approachable. They are absolutely NOT sloppy.” 

“We will definitely see a lot of denim this spring but I suspect people will switch it up a bit by pairing denim with denim, and denim embellished with lace and jewels,” says Sierra.

Denim Dresses

A loose fitting denim dress that hits just above the knee, will be a go to outfit for many, this spring. It’s easy to find the perfect denim dress for your body shape, because they come in a variety of different cuts and styles.

Boxy Silhouettes

“I think that the more structured and boxy-look is very much present this spring,” says fashion designer Kate Miles. She has also noticed "clean and simple lines that are more embellished by jewelry and hair than the garment itself."

Hats

“Baseball caps, newspaper style hats, trucker hats, for any time you don't have an extra minute to fix your hair,” says Rasha Pecoraro and Vanna Pecoraro.

Wide brimmed hats will continue to be worn by Portlanders throughout the spring. They add a special kind of spark to any outfit.

Sierra’s favorite trend this spring is a head to toe white ensemble. 

“White looks great on all skin tones and gives off a fresh and classy vibe. This minimalist monochromatic look makes for a chic and “upscale” feel,” says Sierra.

“Layer gender neutral bracelets to give any outfit a trendy look,” says the Pecoraros. 

“The days of chunky are over. Smaller is better. For fingers, necks, ears, and wrists, think delicate jewelry, THINK SMALL,” says Harris.
