Little Boxes stores are not the only place to shop local this holiday season, check out the Portland Saturday Market, Vancouver Washington area, and Beaverton.
Market, Small Business Weekend
The Portland Saturday Market won’t be closed this weekend, instead come out to “Market, Small Business Weekend” and support local vendors. Take photos with Santa at the Santa Booth, get free holiday treats, and win some amazing prizes
Market, Small Business Weekend will be held at 2 SW Naito Pkwy in Portland, November 29, 10 am- 5 pm and November 30, 11 am- 4:30 pm.

Get Out On... Small Business Saturday
The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Columbia Credit Union for the first ever “Shop Local” Customer Appreciation contest, part of their Get Out On... Small Business Saturday campaign.
The contest is all about rewarding the long time customers of small business, but also get some newbies shopping at these businesses too. "We want to draw attention to local businesses during the holiday shopping months; as well as provide a November long customer appreciation program for small businesses who may not have the resources to host one," explained Chandra Chase, the GVCC program coordinator of Get Out On... Small Business Saturday.
Shop at any of the over 45 local business till November 29th, in order to be entered to win a $500 gift card. Business include downtown Vancouver wine and art bar Niche, upscale furniture consignment store Divine Consign, and barre fitness studio Pure Barre.

Local Designer Holiday Pop Up Shop
Designers Leonard Bahl, Tylar Merril, Cindy Ayala, and Kerry Yu, have come together to hosts a Local Designer Pop Up Shop.
Jewelry designer Kerry Yu of OPearl Brands, creates jewelry that empowers women to feel their best. Yu recently showed a collection at this season’s Portland Fashion Week, and will be selling bold jewelry with funky shapes and lots of color.
New to the Pacific Northwest, Leonard Bahl takes reclaimed wood and makes everything from modern bookcases, to bottle openers and checkerboards.
Tylar Merrill of Thimbleberry Felt Designs works primarily with felt and uses the nuno felting technique, to create soft and colorful designs that are practical and made from start to finish in her studio. Lookout for scarves and coats at the shop.
Find the pop up shop at Silkwood, 12325 SW Horizon Boulevard in Beaverton, November 28th- December 24, 10 am- 6pm.

Store Spotlight: Anne Bocci Boutique
Portlanders have been flocking to Anne Bocci Boutique, buying clothing from emerging local designers since its opening in May of 2007. Bocci has stocked Project Runway Winner, Seth Aaron’s designs since she opened, and currently carries Michelle Lesniak and Canadian designer Suzanne Jaberg.
"Without local support, independent stores would cease to be and big box stores would take over, taking away the unique neighborhood personality," said Bocci. During Little Boxes, Bocci is giving away free earrings (designed by Bocci) with any purchase of $40 or more.
