Portland jewelry and lifestyle boutique,
betsy & iya, will host a fundraiser, artist reception, and party to honor the seven years since founder Betsy Cross began making jewelry in 2008.
betsy & iya have collected original artworks from seven female artists, with each work representing a pivotal moment throughout the jewelry lines history. Artists include illustrators Brooke Weeber, Vivian Chen, and Kira Lynn Cain.
The pieces will be revealed at the party and will be for sale, with 50 percent of the proceeds going back to the artists.
The other 50 percent will go to local nonprofit, Friends of the Children. Ten percent of all betsy and iya sales from 6 pm to 9 pm will go to Friends of the Children as well.
Friends of Children was founded in 1993 by Portland investor Duncan Campbell. The organization provides children with long-term mentors (a twelve and a half year commitment to each child). Today the non profit has 45 Friends mentoring 400 children.

“We will definitely see a lot of denim this spring but I suspect people will switch it up a bit by pairing denim with denim, and denim embellished with lace and jewels,” says Sierra.
