Day five of Portland's Time Based Art (TBA) Festival includes a performance by artist Cynthia Hopkins, 'A Living Documentary.' Hopkins performance intertwines music, comedy, and autobiographical storytelling about the trials and tribulations of earning a living as a professional theater artist in the 21st century.

'A Living Documentary' is a raw comedic reflection that asks questions about the realities of artistic life in New York City, according to the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art. Hopkins plays herself and an eclectic cast of characters in this one-woman show. The performance also features several of Hopkins' orginial compositions.

The documentary performance was commissioned by New York Live Arts and made possible, in part, by the National Endowment for the Arts

Hopkins performs at the Winningstad Theater, 1111 SW Broadway Portland, September 15-16 at 6:30 PM. The show costs $25 and $20 for PICA members.
