Beginning Saturday, October 10th, the 2015 Portland Open Studios gives Portlanders the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of the studios of 96 Portland artists.

To participate, simply purchase a map which will also double as a ticket. By purchasing a $15 Tour Guide, participants gain access to the Eastside/Westside maps in addition to the contact information of some of the artists.

Another way you can purchase a map is by getting the Mobile App that’s compatible with both iPhone and Android platforms.

The artists participating in this year’s event were chosen by a jury of 3 arts professionals. They were chosen based off of the jurors only seeing three images submitted to them by the artists. The artists were chosen, then, based entirely on the quality of their work. Some of the artists are full-time artists and others do art as a hobby.

With this method, the participants of the tour are sure to have a well-rounded experience with Portland’s eclectic art community.

Additionally, the event takes place over the course of two weekends, giving everyone ample opportunity to participate.

Portland Open Studios, various locations. October 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th from 10am - 5pm.
