On March 10th,
Portland Center Stage (PCS) announced their line up for the 2015 - 2016 season.
We’re already used to PCS entertaining us, inspiring us, and making us laugh, and this season they continue a tradition of having a line-up that, as in years before, is both classic and edgy.
PCS begins the fall season with the classic but timeless “Our Town.” After that, they’ll pick up the pace a little with “Sex with Strangers” and the musical, “Ain’t Misbehavin’.”
In winter, they plan to keep our hearts warm with Dickensian classics such as their recurring show, “Twist Your Dickens” (a retelling of Christmas Carol) and “Great Expectations.”
Yet for those in the audience who are looking for something new, PCS also premiers Dan Hoyle’s newest show “Each and Every Thing”, and the new and critically acclaimed, “The Pianist of Willesden Lane,” by Mona Golabek.
The shows aren’t the only thing that’s causing patrons to become excited, though. PCS also welcomes to the stage Grimm star, Russell Hornsby, who will earn the spotlight in an adaption of the iconic Tennessee Williams play, “A Streetcar Named Desire.”
Bringing Portland together through entertainment, PCS will add many new fans to their audience this coming season and still please their loyal patrons in the process.
“Theater brings us together as a community to share in the exploration of being human through comedy, through music, and through drama. Each of these works is, in its own way, an opportunity to discover something about ourselves,” said PCS’ Artistic Director, Chris Coleman, who excitedly foreshadowed the upcoming season.
